Climate change, over a period of time can have lasting change of weather patterns. Other factors that climate change causes is oceanic circulation, variations in solar radiations received by earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions, and human alteration of the natural world. These effectd currently cause global warming, and climate change is used to describe "human-specific impacts". The terminology of the most general definition of climate change is a change of the climate system of its statistical properties when considered over a long period of time, regardless of the cause. Climate change is specifically used in terms that are caused by human activity. Then changes in climate that may have been a result of earths natural processes. The factors that can shape climate are called climate forcings or forcing mechanisms. Forcing Mechanisms can either be internal or external.
Internal Mechanisms are "Natural changes in the components of Earth's climate system and their interactions are the cause of internal climate variability, or internal forcings." External Mechanisms are "Slight variations in Earth's orbit lead to changes in the seasonal distribution of sunlight reaching the Earth's surface and how it is distributed across the globe." Humans have many influences that are anthropogeic factors that has a lot of affects on the climate. The scientific consensus on climate change is "that climate" changing an that these changes are in  large part cause by human activites, and is largely irreversible. Also the increase in Co2 levels due to emission from fossil fuel combustion, followed by aerosoles and cement manufacture. This is of most concern un ther anthrogeic factors.
